Board of Directors Special Meeting

Jasper County Emergency Services

August 26^th, 2010

Chairman Stephens called the special meeting to order at 1:00 p.m., at the Board office, 13870 Dispatch Lane, Carthage, MO, as per public notice.  Present in addition to the Chairman were members Bill Rowland, Dan Stanley, & Larry Newman.  Carl Francis arrived at 1:02 p.m.  Representing staff were Executive Director April Tarrant.  There were no public attendees.

New Business

Personnel

At 1:02 p.m., Director Rowland motioned to go into the closed portion of the meeting to address personnel issues, pursuant to Mo. Statue Section 610.021 (3).  Director Newman seconded the motion.

                        Stanley            –          in favor

                        Newman          –          in favor

                        Rowland          –          in favor

                        Francis             –          in favor

At 2:20 p.m., Director Rowland motioned and was seconded by Director Newman to move out of closed session.

During closed session, employee Shaun Belcher as invited to attend the meeting at 1:27 p.m.  Belcher left the meeting at 1:44 p.m.  Director Newman stepped out at 1:55 p.m.and returned at 1:57 p.m.  During closed session no motions were made. 

Director Stanley moved the meeting be adjourned.  Director Newman seconded the motion.  Vote: 5 – 0.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
