This page is being provided so that anyone who has or will be installing a storm shelter may send the specific location information of the shelter to Jasper County 9-1-1 Emergency Services. This information will be retained in a database to be used in the event that Fire and/or rescue operations occur at your residence or place of business.
By providing your contact information and location of shelter, responder will have an opportunity to respond informed and will have the ability to save precious time while searching for anyone trapped under a structure or debris.
When documenting information, please provide specific apartment or suite information in the address field if applicable. In the location field, please be specific about the type of storm shelter, (ie: above ground closet, under ground, etc.) and the location of the shelter, (ie: living room, bedroom, garage, back yard, front yard, east side of house, basement, etc.).
Jasper County 9-1-1 Emergency Services is always seeking life saving information in an effort to provide the best possible services in the most efficient manner.

Any citizens trying to reach family members in Joplin can call the American Red Cross at (417) 659-5464. The Red Cross has also set-up a webpage called safe and well that allows citizens to add their name to a list that they are safe and will also let family members search that list to see status. It does require a name and either a phone number or address to search. To access the page, go to www.redcross.org.

Triage for injured patients has been set up at several locations throughout the city.

Busses are available at the following locations for those without transportation needing to go to the MSSU shelter:

- Forest Park Baptist Church 7th/Rangeline
- Lowes 24th/Rangeline
- Vintage Stock 32nd/Main

Per Missouri Department of Transportation, Interstate 44 is now open.
Emergency Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement personnel wishing to volunteer need to bring credentials/certifications and respond to the following Command Locations:
